Can you schedule a video to send after you die?

Yes. Using a check-in system, you can record videos now that are delivered to the people you choose if you stop checking in. Shtello Legacy calls this the check-in: a gentle 30-day check-in that releases your messages only if you no longer respond.

How the check-in works

Opening the app resets a 30-day clock. If the clock reaches zero and you do not respond to reminders over the next 14 days, your check-in messages are delivered to the recipients you chose.

You are reminded by email and text at 21, 14, 7, 3, 2, and 1 days, and every day during the grace period, so ordinary breaks like a vacation never trigger delivery by accident.

You stay in control

Messages with a specific date always send on that date. Everything else waits on the check-in until you either check in or the grace period ends.

Your videos are encrypted and private. Nobody but the recipient can ever see them, and only they can keep a copy.

Common questions

Will my videos send if I'm just on vacation?+

No, unless you ignore reminders for over 44 days. You are nudged repeatedly before anything is delivered.

What happens if the service or my payment stops?+

Any message you already recorded and scheduled on a paid plan is still delivered. You are never locked out of messages you already created.
