How Shtello Legacy works
Six simple steps. The thinking behind each one matters as much as the mechanics.
Sign up
Create an account with your email or phone. Add as little or as much to your profile as you like.
Record a message
Talk to the camera in your browser, or upload a video you already have. Give it a name and write something too, if you want. Choose who it's for.
Choose when
Two options: a specific date you pick, or let the check-in handle it, if you don't reset it for 30 days, your messages go out after a 14-day grace period.
Reset the clock
Every time you visit the app, your check-in resets to 30 days. Push reminders nudge you at 21, 14, 7, 3, 2, and 1 days.
Held in trust
Your messages are stored encrypted on US servers. Only the people you choose can ever view them, and only they can keep a copy.
Delivered when the moment comes
When the moment arrives, your chosen date, or the end of the check-in grace period, recipients are notified and your message reaches them.
From first birthdays to last words
One place for every message you'll want to leave, whatever stage of life you're in.

Childhood
Make a kid capsule together, sealed until a birthday you choose. Tap 18th and the date is set for you.
- 13–25
Teens and young adults
Leave something to open at 18, at graduation, or on their first night away from home. When it arrives, they can record a reply.

New parents
52 firsts: one prompt at a time to capture a childhood as it happens, delivered when your child is grown.
- 40–60
Mid-life
A message for everyone you love, each set to arrive on the day it matters.
- 60+
Grandparents
Stories and blessings for your grandchildren, delivered when they're old enough. Easy view gives you large type and one big Record button.
- Any age
Facing the end
Rest mid-recording and continue when you're ready. The check-in delivers your messages if you no longer can.
